Available Modalities
Our licensed massage therapists combine techniques from many different healing modalities. They use a mixture of therapies, including…

Ashiatsu Massage
Ashiatsu massage is a unique form of bodywork where the therapist uses their feet to apply deep, broad pressure to the recipient’s muscles. The therapist typically suspends themselves from overhead bars or ropes while using their feet to deliver smooth, gliding strokes along the body. This technique allows for a deep and consistent pressure, making it particularly effective for relieving tension, improving circulation, and promoting relaxation.
Connective Tissue Therapy Massage
Connective tissue manipulation (CTM) is a soft tissue manipulation technique which stretches connective tissue, restoring mobility at dermis/hypodermis and dermis/fascia interfaces and promoting remodelling of collagen. It is often described as a neural therapy because of its powerful reflex effects.
Craniosacral Therapy Massage
Craniosacral therapy is a type of bodywork that relieves compression in the bones of the head, sacrum (a triangular bone in the lower back), and spinal column.
Craniosacral therapy is noninvasive. It uses gentle pressure on the head, neck, and back to relieve the stress and pain caused by compression. It can, as a result, help to treat several conditions.
It’s thought that through the gentle manipulation of the bones in the skull, spine, and pelvis, the flow of cerebrospinal fluid in the central nervous system can be normalised. This removes “blockages” from the normal flow, which enhances the body’s ability to heal.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is a therapeutic massage technique that focuses on targeting the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. Unlike relaxation massages, which typically use lighter pressure, deep tissue massage employs firm pressure and slow strokes to alleviate chronic tension and tightness in specific areas of the body. By accessing deeper muscle layers, this type of massage can help release knots, improve mobility, and reduce pain. It’s often sought after by individuals experiencing chronic pain, muscle injuries, or limited mobility due to its ability to address underlying muscle issues.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Lymphatic drainage massage is a form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body.
The fluid in the lymphatic system helps remove waste and toxins from the bodily tissues. Some health conditions can cause lymph fluid to build up. Lymphatic drainage massages can benefit people with lymphedema, fibromyalgia, and other conditions.
Reflexology Massage
Reflexology is a type of massage that involves applying different amounts of pressure to the feet, hands, and ears. It’s based on a theory that these body parts are connected to certain organs and body systems.
Reiki Massage
Reiki is a form of alternative therapy commonly referred to as energy healing. It emerged in Japan in the late 1800s and is said to involve the transfer of universal energy from the practitioner’s palms to their patient.
Energy healing has been used for centuries in various forms. Advocates say it works with the energy fields around the body.
Shiatsu Massage
Shiatsu massage is an alternative technique that involves manual pressure applied to specific points on the body in an attempt to relieve tension and pain. According to the Japanese healing treatment, Shiatsu (meaning finger pressure) massage uses thumbs, fingers, elbows, and knees to concentrate pressure at certain energy pathways in the body called meridians. The massage, also known as acupressure, works to reduce muscle tension and fatigue and is thought to improve blood circulation in the body as well as improve the function of the lymphatic system.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is a classic massage technique that focuses on relaxation and overall well-being. During a Swedish massage, the therapist uses long, flowing strokes, kneading, and gentle tapping motions to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and relieve muscle tension. This massage style typically involves the use of massage oils or lotions to reduce friction on the skin. Swedish massage is known for its gentle approach and ability to soothe both the body and the mind, making it a popular choice for individuals seeking stress relief and relaxation.
Thai Mat Massage
Thai Mat massage is a traditional healing practice originating from Thailand that combines acupressure, assisted yoga postures, and passive stretching. During a Thai massage session, the recipient remains fully clothed and lies on a padded mat on the floor while the therapist uses their hands, elbows, knees, and feet to apply rhythmic pressure along the body’s energy lines and perform various stretching movements. This therapeutic technique aims to promote relaxation, increase flexibility, relieve muscle tension, and enhance overall well-being. Thai massage is often described as both invigorating and deeply relaxing, offering a unique blend of physical and energetic benefits.
