Before joining the acupuncture field, Alison worked as an Emergency Medical Technician. While working in the field of emergency medicine, she witnessed the limitations of traditional Western Medicine for the prevention and treatment of disease. In particular, people with chronic pain conditions and mental health disorders were ineffectively and undertreated. Therefore, she sought out Chinese Medicine to improve the care of individuals.

In her free time, Alison enjoys being in the garden, nourishing the health and wellness of her plants. She applies the same care and nurturing to her clients. She encourages active participation in developing treatment goals to foster self-care so one may flourish in health.
